Appearance and Personality
Sakaki is an enthusiastic rookie investigator. She approaches things with curiosity and is not afraid to speak her mind, such as when she was grossed out by the details of Kurumizawa's autopsy. She is uncomfortable in the lifeless environment of the 25th Ward, and says she would rather live somewhere with warmth. She is said to be very skilled at her job.
History
The 25th Ward
Sakaki first appears in #01 new world order, investigating the death of Milu Yuzuki at the Bayside Towerland apartments. She arrived on the scene with her partner, Mokutaro Shiroyabu, and Uehara, who was posing as a building manager. She went over the details of the building administrator Kosuke Kurumizawa's death. When they arrived at the 75th Floor, she commented on the gigantic population of the building complex, and how despite that the place did not feel lived in. Upon arriving, they examined the crime scene, and the prominent blood splatters on the ceiling. Sakaki questioned whether Milu's death was really a suicide. She noticed a small hole in the ceiling, which revealed several beams of light when the room was darkened. Sakaki stood under the light, and was killed after being impaled by a delivery man's pin stick.
black out
Sakaki mysteriously reappears in four of #07 black out's 100 endings.
- No. 44, "Sakaki states expressionlessly in your direction": Sakaki's presence shakes Shiroyabu and makes Uehara unable to fire at her. Uehara is killed by Shiro and is reborn as a Supreme Court Judge.
- No. 45, "Sakaki looks cheerfully in your direction": Shiroyabu cries and apologizes to Sakaki, and she embraces him. Shiro is swallowed by her body and mind and disappears, saying he has a place to return to.
- No. 46, "Sakaki is staring daggers in your direction": Sakaki vows revenge and gets Shiro to attack Uehara, who escapes to another world, where he is poisoned by a female Shiroyabu.
- No. 90, "Sakaki is pointing her gun at you": Uehara shoots Sakaki, and Shiro holds her as she dies. Sakaki continues to reappear and dies repeatedly, until she and Shiroyabu both fade from existence. This is said to be an omen of the war to come.
