Chairman Yukimura is a character in The Silver Case. He is the leader of the Yukimura Zaibatsu.
Appearance and Personality
Yukimura is an older man who is part of the wealthy Yukimura family. He seems to have guilt about the events that took place at Mikumo 77, since he was willing to go along with the Mikumo Boys' plan, even after being kidnapped.
History
Yukimura served as the chairman of the Yukimura Zaibatsu during the events of case#3:parade. On July 11th, 1999, he was kidnapped by Fuyuki and his mansion was destroyed as part of the Mikumo Boys' 20-year plan for revenge. He was taken to a separate location, where videos of him were filmed by the perpetrators. The videos showed him tied up next to a blow-up sex doll. The kidnappers demanded a ransom in the form of a 600-billion yen diamond. The company was forced to pay for it, ruining them financially. On July 26th, Akira traveled to the Garbage Incineration Plant to make the exchange. During this, Fuyuki killed himself by jumping into a smokestack, destroying the diamond in the process. Yukimura was then rescued by the police unharmed. The next day, Yukimura met with Sumio Kodai, and agreed to help him destroy the Yukimura Zaibatsu. That afternoon he held a meeting at Snow Tower, with only the management present in the building. The board members feigned relief at his return, while secretly resenting him for destroying the company. He spoke to the board, saying that the legacy of the company was founded on many sacrifices, and asks them to die along with him. He then detonated bombs planted in Snow Tower by Hiseki, destroying the building and killing himself along with the management. After his death, the company was utterly destroyed, and its land was sold off to pay back the ransom fees.
