Personality and Appearance

Speed Buster is an overweight old woman. She has red hair worn in pigtails, and wears a black dress and sun hat. She is always seen with her shopping cart, which transforms into a gigantic laser cannon. Speed Buster has a dismissive view of men, calling them stubborn and foolish. When Travis bests her, she compliments his skill and accepts her loss with dignity.

History

Backstory

Very little is known about Speed Buster's past. She lives in an abandoned place named Speed City, and was described as a "witch". She seems to have been acquainted with Thunder Ryu. She is an assassin, and ranked third in the United Assassins Association.

No More Heroes

Speed Buster first appears when Travis arrives in Speed City, while she was in a duel with Thunder Ryu. He blocked the gigantic laser fired from her Buster Launcher, and told Travis to stay away from his duel. When Ryu was distracted by Jeane, he was caught off-guard by the laser and killed. Travis saw Speed Buster approaching with her shopping cart, asking why men are so ignorant. Travis asked if she was the third-ranked assassin, but she was unable to hear him as she extended her weapon. She finally heard him and confirmed that she is the assassin. She called Travis an idiot, and wondered if he was even worth killing. Travis made his way down the abandoned road fighting through goons while avoiding the laser. Travis knocked over a chain of telephone poles, causing one to land on her weapon and disable it. He finally reached Speed Buster, cutting the barrel of her weapon in half. She congratulated him, praising Travis and Thunder Ryu's skills. She gave Travis a kiss, and said goodbye. Travis then sliced her head off, killing her.
