Masahi Ooka

Masahi Ooka is a freelance writer who often collaborates with Goichi Suda for the Kill the Past games, usually writing a story parallel to the main one. His stories tend to feature a new character who is investigating the events of the main plot from their own, different perspective.

Biography

Masahi Ooka has spent his lifetime as a freelance writer, having worked on both books, videogame strategy guides, and articles throughout his early career. His services would be comissioned by Human Entertainment in 1997 for work on Moonlight Syndrome Truth File, creating original characters and mock style newspaper articles, as inspired by his at the time editor. Ooka's work on the Truth Files impressed Goichi Suda, who contacted him to work on The Silver Case, his first time writing for a videogame. From this point onward, Grasshopper Manufacture would frequently contract Ooka to work on their other games, often serving as co writer to Suda himself. His involvement after 2005 with Grasshopper was greatly reduced, but he returned for work on Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes in 2019, maintaining a good relationship with the company.
