Jeane
Jeane is a character in No More Heroes. She is an assassin, and the half-sister of Travis Touchdown. She is the ninth and penultimate boss battle in the game.
Personality and Appearance
Jeane is a blonde young woman, who is mostly seen wearing martial arts garb. She is traumatized by the abuse she suffered from her father, and swore to take revenge. She dated her half-brother Travis, although it is unclear if she truly loved him or simply used him as part of her plan for revenge. Jeane seems to be aware of Sylvia's plan for Travis to take revenge, and appears to go along with it for their meeting to take place. When Travis finally found her years later, she openly described her past to him, and fought him to the death. When she was defeated, she welcomed her death at Travis's hands, saying she's had enough.
History
Backstory
Jeane was the daughter of Travis Touchdown's father with another woman. After her father abandoned them, Jeane's mother killed herself. Knowing she had nowhere to go, her father took advantage of her. One day she ran away from her father with Travis and Henry Cooldown. She was carried through the snow for days by Henry, and they stopped to make an igloo to escape the cold. They eventually reached a main road, where they were surrounded by cars and heard the sound of "locks". They were taken by adults and tied up, with Henry being brainwashed and separated to another family. Jeane was kept by her father in a "rotten apartment" where she was regularly molested. She decided to become a killer, and paid for training by acting as a prostitute. Jeane also met Travis again, who did not know they were related, and the two dated for a time. One summer night, Jeane murdered Travis's parents in front of him, and disappeared from his life. Travis repressed his memories of Jeane, but was shown to remember her when he was drunk. He kept a photo of her in his motel room, and named his pet cat after her.
No More Heroes
Travis was haunted by the repressed memory of his parents' death, which caused him to make a deal with Sylvia Christel to find their killer. Sylvia arranged the ranking fights of the United Assassins Association in order for Travis to get revenge.
Jeane appeared after Travis reached his battle with the first-ranked assassin, Dark Star. Dark Star claimed to be Travis's father and urged him to remember the night of his parents' death. Travis finally remembered, and Jeane killed Dark Star by punching through his heart. Travis asked who Jeane was, but she said that describing her past was too terrible, and would jack-up the age rating of the game. She agreed to tell him as long as it was fast-forwarded. Travis was shocked by her story and accepts that his father's death was necessary, but tells her that vengeance begets vengeance. He told Jeane that her sorrows would end, and the two began fighting. Jeane activated Dark Star's Horse Saber to surround and gradually close-in around them during the battle. Jeane fought Travis with her martial arts skills, easily dodging many of his sword swings and grapples. At the end of the fight, Jeane punched through Travis's chest, but had her arm severed by Shinobu. Jeane asked Travis not to kill her at first, but accepted her death, saying she had enough. Travis said he hoped that her next dream would be a more pleasant one, and sliced her to pieces with his beam katana, killing her.
After Jeane's death, she was still remembered by Travis. The photo of her remained in his room, but with her face crossed out. He continued caring for his cat, and eventually named his daughter after her as well. In No More Heroes III, Jeane was directly mentioned by Henry, who recounted their escape from their father to Travis.

Trivia
- Jeane's age is inconsistent between her in-game trading card, and her profile in the No More Heroes: Heroes' Paradise Perfect Bible.
- When recounting her backstory, Jeane compares it to the manga Miyuki, in which the lead character has romantic feelings for his step-sister.
- Jeane tells Travis that the game will be delayed if her backstory is presented unaltered, jokingly saying the title will be "NO MORE HEROES FOREVER". This is referencing Duke Nukem Forever, which at the time was infamous for being delayed since its announcement in 1997. It would later release fourteen years later in 2010.
