Grasshopper Manufacture is a video game developer founded by Goichi Suda on March 31 1998 in Japan. Their current parent company is NetEase Games after acquired from GungHo Entertaiment on October 2021.
Name Origin
The main reason why Goichi Suda chose the name Grasshopper Manufacture is a reference to a song that has the same name from the UK band Ride which he keeps on listening during his naps in his Human Entertainment days. The song itself made him never forget to what is it like to work on the game industry for the first time.
