Sumio walks into the church and approaches Seiji sitting on a bench. Sumio introduces himself and explains to Seiji about Yuuri waiting for him. Seiji explains to Sumio his worries about how big of a step getting married is. He then explains how he feels Yuuris ideals are being pushed onto him, and how he can't live up to them. Leading him to losing confidence. Seiji then comments he came to look at the church organ. Sumio mentions that it was Seiji he heard playing the organ and complemented him on it. Seiji responds with his hate for that sound and music. He follows up remarking that if he can play it well, then he'll find the confidence to make Yuuri happy. Seiji tells Sumio he was trying to properly tune the organ, but lost the paper that has the registration noted on it. Sumio uses Catherine to jack into the panel on the back of the organ and adjusts it.

Request 08: Ave Maria is the ninth scenario in Flower, Sun, and Rain. It features Sumio Mondo dealing with the relationship issues of the soon to be married couple Yuuri Otowaya and Seiji Fujieda

Summary

The chapter opens with Sumio Mondo waking up to a phone call from Edo Macalister at the front desk. After morning pleasantries Sumio comments on having sore muscles, in which Edo suggests relaxing more during his stay. Sumio points out that Edo was the one who hired him to do all this work. After a quick apology, Edo comments about believing that Sumios personality has changed a little. Edo then informs him that breakfast is ready. Sumio gets out of bed and trips, falling on the floor. He gets ready by drinking some coffee on his couch, reflecting on being tricked into babysitting the kid in Request 07.

Sumio walks down from the 4th floor to the font desk and speaks to Edo. Sumio asks where the breakfast he always hears about is. Edo informs him that they've already stopped serving it, and then apologizes. Sumio informs Edo that he is leaving to head for the airport. Sumio exits the hotels front entrance and walks towards the front gate.

After passing through the hotel gate, Sumio notices another closed gate blocking off the connection to the road. Leading him to go down another path connected to an area with a church. As he approaches the church he notices rows of benches to the left of it, with a woman who appears sad sitting on one. Sumio approaches the woman and asks if she's okay. After explaining to Sumio that she's a little depressed, he says he'll listen to her problem. She then introduces herself as Yuuri. Yuuri explains that she is going to get married the next day, but she's been worried about her fiancé Seiji acting strange and distant. Yuuri begs Sumio to talk to him, which Sumio accepts.

Seiji then plays the organ perfectly and is overjoyed, giving him the confidence he needed. Sumio comments on seeing just how happy the couple will be. Seiji invites Sumio to their wedding, in response he says he'd be delighted to attend. Sumio exits the church to Yuuri standing by the front entrance. Yuuri asks Sumio about how it went with Seiji. Sumio explains to not worry about him, even if hes a little pathetic at times. Yuuri immediately jumps to Seijis defense, saying not to talk about him like that and how she hates people who say bad things about others. Sumio calms her down and assures her about Seiji being okay now, leading to her feeling better. Yuuri explains that her and Seiji were raised in an orphanage and promised each other to be the happiest people in the world. She also explains her desire to have everyone's blessing for their marriage, to which Sumio quickly gives his. Afterwards Sumio asks Yuuri just where the both of them were raised, she responds that it was in The Shelter. Revealing that her and Seiji were Shelter Kids. The camera pans out, showing the plane blow up in the sky as Yuuri and Sumio look towards it.

Elsewhere, Christina is crawling along the path to the road as Toriko Kusabi pursues. As she approaches the gate to the road, she runs into Seiji and Yuuri standing in front of it. Dressed up in their wedding outfits celebrating their marriage. Toriko congratulates them and wishes for their happiness.
