Benjamin Stargazer is a character in Romeo is a Dead Man. He is a genius scientist, and the grandfather of Romeo Stargazer.

Appearance and Personality

Benjamin is a stereotypical mad scientist. He sports messy blonde hair, and is always seen with magnifying goggles. He wears a black scientist's coat with a popped collar, with a red undershirt and black gloves. When appearing on Romeo's jacket, Benjamin has the same features, but with a more cartoonish appearance.

Biography

Background

Benjamin Stargazer is a genius scientist, and the inventor of the Dead Gear Life Support System, a device that can save a person from death by instigating a time paradox. One Saturday morning while eating curry with his family, Benjamin and his grandson Romeo Stargazer are attacked by a monster on their doorstep. Benjamin inserts the Dead Gear into Romeo's eye, keeping him on the edge of life and death, after which he becomes the FBI Space-Time agent "Dead Man". Benjamin uses his technology to rescurrect himself as a 2-dimensional character on the back of Romeo's jacket, and acts as his navigator.

Earlier in the story, he and Romeo are killed by a strange creature, but he resurrects himself using his own technology as a 2D being on Romeo's jacket. He acts as Romeo's navigator, guiding him in his pursuit of Space-Time criminals. He has a youthful look despite his age, possibly due to his everlasting curiosity. An eccentric but kind old man, with a soft spot for his grandchildren.
