WHITEOUT Prologue is a shortened version of {{CR|6}}, presented in the style of the other chapters of ''The Silver Case''. It introduces [[Mokutaro Shiroyabu]] and shows the beginning of the investigation into the appearance of the [[Joker]].

==Summary==
The chapter opens with a monologue from a rookie police officer, [[Mokutaro Shiroyabu]]. He says that he is ready to die for his job to send money back to his mother. He expresses a fanatical devotion to the government, and believes that if he dies then his family will be cared for. He is told not to die on duty, and is given orders to kill someone, which he enthusiastically accepts.

[[Michiru Kosaka]] meets with a wheelchair-bound [[Ryu Munakata]] at the [[Harakiri Batting Center]]. Munakata asks if he has heard of Super Sentai. He points out that there is always initially five colors of Ranger, and that new colors are added later on to defeat stronger enemies. He tells him that a new member of [[Kamui Uehara]]'s [[TRUMP]] has appeared, under the name [[Joker]]. He asks Kosaka to take care of it. Munakata asks how [[Tetsugoro Kusabi]] is doing, but Kosaka says he can't get a hold of him, and doesn't know whether he is alive or dead. Munakata tells him that Kusabi isn't dead, and not to waste time considering that. They say that it's been four years since their last meeting, and Munakata asks how things are going with [[Sakura Natsume]]. Kosaka says they broke up and that he doesn't want to talk about it. Munakata asks if Kosaka had sex with her, and he threatens to shoot him if he asks further. Munakata cryptically says that he got the intel from the "3 of spades", and leaves.

Kosaka informs Sakura over the phone about the appearance of another TRUMP member. Sakura says she has a hunch, and that the only cards connected to the world of the underside of the cards are the joker and the ace. Kosaka tells her that he doesn't want her to move yet, and that he'll take care of it. She asks if that's a warning, or just advice. He says that he doesn't want her overexerting herself, and she is disgusted by his "kindness". She tells him not to get in her way. Sakura tells [[Akira]] to take out the Joker before Kosaka, and that a new kind of monster is on the move.

Akira travels through the underground tunnel leading to the [[Shelter Plaza]]. Sakura says that the place must have meaning to him, but to focus on securing the Joker. Sakura says she never wanted to come to this place again, but that some people are drawn to it and gather there, seeking Kamui. She says that she doesn't know why, but that she knows that Kusabi will come too. She tells Akira to be killed by the past, or kill the past. Akira comes face-to-face with Shiroyabu, who believes that he is the Joker. Shiroyabu orders him to surrender, but Akira doesn't respond. He tells Akira to die, and a gunshot is heard.
