Most of LOVE's history is a mystery. She is a high school student and a game scenario writer for [[Electro & Line Inc.]]. At some point, she would become a member of [[The Handsome Men]], playing the role of Handsome Pink.
She would work with The Handsome Men to assassinate [[Trevor Pearlharbor]], getting the attention of the [[Smith Syndicate]].

After the deaths of [[Trevor Pearlharbor]] and Black, LOVE, while wearing her Handsome Pink suit, would challenge the Killer7 alongside the remaining members of the Handsome Men. At Broadway, New York, the eight Handsome Men would fight the eight members of the Killer7 with LOVE being set to fight against [[Garcian Smith]] as the last fight. However, instead of fighting, LOVE removes her armor and talks to Garcian, telling him that she'll avenge Trevor's death by destroying [[Electro & Line Inc.]]. Before she leaves, LOVE shakes Garcian's hand, telling him that she is glad to have met him and teleports away.

KAEDE appears as a young woman in nothing but a white dress with large bloodstains on the front. Even when she is wearing black, these stains remain. KAEDE is barefoot at all times, no matter the terrain she treads across, earning her the nickname "Barefoot". KAEDE is the most cautious member of the syndicate, evidenced by her attempt to flee from [[Emir Parkreiner]] in panic rather than attempt to fight back. This is also evident by her use of a ranged weapon. She is also notably the only woman part of the syndicate.

KAEDE uses a customized AMT Hardballer equipped with a pistol scope as well as a 10-round magazine. This allows her to snipe Heaven Smile from afar, before they can get close. She has a notably lengthy reload time, taking even longer if she used the scope, as she is shown to fumble the magazine. KAEDE's most notable ability is her Blood Shower ability, which allows her to cut her own wrists to shower blood across barriers or passageways in order to destroy them. She also holds the ability to absorb blood into her wrists, such as when she removes unnecessary letters from a secret message written on a wall in blood. Her Blood Shower ability is always accompanied by [[Mizaru]], whom seems to do it for her.

KAEDE Smith was born in Portland, Oregon and grew up with an unnamed brother. During her first life, her brother joined the [[Liberal Party]], eventually killing her by orders given by [[Kenjiro Matsuoka]]. She was later resurrected by [[Harman Smith]] and assimilated into the [[Smith Syndicate]], serving the group with her long ranged combat abilities. She is eventually killed when Emir murders the [[Smith Syndicate]] at the Union hotel. When confronted by the boy, she attempts to flee from him in a fit of panic. She tries to escape Emir by hiding in the wardrobe of her closet, only to have Emir hone in on her and shoot at her several times in the chest and stomach. She is then assimilated along with the rest of the seven into Emir, becoming a new incarnation of the Killer7. In her new incarnation, she gains the ability to destroy barriers, similar to how Emir was able to sense her behind one before he killed her.

Eight years before the events of the first No More Heroes game, Damon discovered [[FU]], an alien that had become stranded on Earth. They became close friends as Damon helped Fu evade government agents and sought to find a way for FU to return home. After finding a piece of alien technology where FU crashed and being imbued with mysterious powers, Damon is able to build a rocket for FU. They promise to reunite 20 years later.

Damon is first mentioned by [[Travis Touchdown]] in the "Hell's Chainsaw" scenario of Travis Strikes Back. Travis describes him as a "real asshole named Damon Riccitiello", who is the CEO of the Utopinia corporation and the keeper of Serious Moonlight.

Travis arrives in San Jose and attempts to track Riccitiello down at the Utopiland Amusement Complex, the headquarters of the Utopinia corporation. Riccitiello's tertiary secretary, [[Juliet Chesterfield]], initially refuses to disclose his location to Travis but later divulges that he is on a business trip to a place called City of Split in Croatia. When it becomes apparent that Travis does not know where Croatia is, Juliet advises him to instead wait for the Utopinia music festival occurring the day afterwards, as Damon will be attending the VIP afterparty.

Travis confronts Riccitiello in a VIP room during the concert. Riccitiello calls security to throw him out, but Travis cuts down his bodyguard and demands the [[Death Ball]] containing Serious Moonlight. At first, Riccitiello feigns ignorance of the Death Balls, but Travis reveals he knows that Riccitiello used to work with [[Dr. Juvenile]].

Damon goes on to explain that he used to be a part of the Serious Moonlight team. He worked hard every day on the game, but Juvenile often implemented ideas that would come out of the blue. The game went into development hell as a result. He and the other staff objected to Juvenile’s game design. They believed it was for the sake of completing the perfect game. However, the project ended up canned at the last minute, and Damon was sent to another team.

He remains bitter towards Juvenile, attributing the abrupt move to her "fearing their amazing ideas". He wanted to see Serious Moonlight finished at any cost, so he pressed Juvenile hard for the Death Ball. He claimed that she looked down him due to his position as an intern. He became so infuriated that he beat Juvenile severely, to the point of unconsciousness, took the Death Ball, and went home. He ends the story asking Travis if he thought she deserved it.

Travis is so disgusted that he decides that Riccitiello is not worth killing. Instead, he beats him with his fists, avenging Juvenile, before taking the Death Ball and leaving. Mysteriously, a bloodied Riccitiello pulls himself off the floor and vows revenge on Travis.

Two years after Travis Strikes Again, Fu returns to Earth for the promised reunion with Damon. Riccitiello's joy at meeting with his old friend quickly turns to horror, however, as FU declares that he and his friends from prison plan to conquer the Earth with Damon's "help".

The first Smith Syndicate was founded in 1775 after [[Harman Smith]], then known as Harman Deltahead, killed [[Jim Townsend]], making Harman revered as one of the best assassins in the world.
After Harman killed [[Dimitri Nightmare]], he gained the [[God Killer]] and Dimitri as an alternate persona until 1778. Harman then recruited seven members, forming a key group in the Smith Syndicate known as the Killer7.

In 1955, the Killer7 was killed by [[Emir Parkreiner]] at the [[Union Hotel]]. He then absorbed all of them into his psyche, gaining them as alternate personae and forming the second Smith Syndicate, however, since Emir shot himself on the roof of the Union Hotel, he would suffer amnesia and only act as another persona known as [[Garcian Smith]] and working under Harman.

In 2011, the second Smith Syndicate would be dissolved after Garcian regained his memories of being Emir. In 2053, the third Smith Syndicate would be formed to battle against a new type of terrorism known as the "Heaven Tears".

KAEDE appears as a young woman in nothing but a white dress with large bloodstains on the front. Even when she is wearing black, these stains remain. KAEDE is barefoot at all times, no matter the terrain she treads across, earning her the nickname "Barefoot". KAEDE is the most cautious member of the syndicate, evidenced by her attempt to flee from [[Emir Parkreiner]] in panic rather than attempt to fight back. This is also evident by her use of a ranged weapon. She is also notably the only woman part of the syndicate.

KAEDE uses a customized AMT Hardballer equipped with a pistol scope as well as a 10-round magazine. This allows her to snipe Heaven Smile from afar, before they can get close. KAEDE's most notable ability is her Blood Shower ability, which allows her to cut her own wrists to shower blood across barriers or passageways in order to destroy them. She tries to escape Emir by hiding in the wardrobe of her closet, only to have Emir hone in on her and shoot at her several times in the chest and stomach. When the [[United Assassins Association]] set up a battle royale between twenty-third to tenth-ranked assassins, Dr. Letz Shake fought against them but quickly killed every single one of them besides [[Travis Touchdown]]. When Travis walked into the arena, the two recognised each other with Travis saying that Henry was the one that beat him in the past before Dr. Letz Shake showed off the sealed Henry. Dr. Letz Shake would go on to talk about how his machinery being run by a human brain leads to him making irrational decisions such as wanting to beat Travis because of his pride. The two would fight, with Travis instantly being able to tell that Dr. Letz Shake had become much faster. In the end, Travis stabs his [[beam katana]] into Dr. Letz Shake's brain, causing the robot to explode once more.

She mistakenly accuses Travis of being her father's killer, and begs for him to kill her after their fight. She goes on to gain a loyalty to Travis, later saving him in his fight against Jeane and begins viewing him as her Master. In ''No More Heroes 2'', Shinobu is fully devoted to Travis and trains with the hope of being as strong as him. She met with Sylvia in the UAA office, who asked her to eliminate two of the top ten assassins. Shinobu questioned why she couldn't eliminate them all, but Sylvia brushed her off. She first went to the [[Santa Destroy Bank]], and fought through goons until reaching Rank 9, [[Million Gunman]], in the bank vault. He scoffed at his opponent being a young girl, and Shinobu said that if he killed her he could fight Travis. At the end of the battle, Shinobu closed the distance, and asked if he had any last words. He asked for her name, before she severed both of his arms and decapitated him with her katana. She tells his severed head her name, before slicing it into pieces. Shinobu later visited the grave of [[Georgy Bishop]], where she met Bishop's pen-pal, [[Miike]]. He asked her to deliver [[Rose Nasty]] to Travis. By 2021, Shinobu began staying at the [[Motel NO MORE HEROES]], alongside Travis and Bad Girl. After the alien invasion of Santa Destroy began, she emerged from her room and questioned who they were. She started battling the aliens, after which she suggested that Travis use his new [[Full Armor Mode]], which he used to board the floating UFO and battle Mr. Blackhole. Some time later, [[FU]] arrived outside the motel to take revenge. Shinobu launched an attack from above, splitting FU's head in half. However, he survived, and repeatedly slammed her intro the ground, before stepping on her head and ripping off both of her arms. She was narrowly saved from death by [[Badman]], who was then killed by FU.

Shinobu fell unconscious, and was treated in the underground lab by [[Dr. Juvenile]]. Travis arrived and was relieved to see that she was in stable condition. Throughout the game, Shinobu remained in a coma, with Travis repeatedly speaking to her about wrestling in her sleep. She eventually made a full recovery, and was fitted with two prosthetic arms. After Travis was revived from death, she appeared along with his other allies to welcome him back and prepare for the final battle. She later spoke with Travis and [[Buzariashvili Bishop]], apologizing for the trouble. She told him that the sensation was returning to her arms, but that she couldn't wield a sword yet. They discussed their taste in movies, saying she enjoyed "G-Style" stuff. The two misunderstood and believed she was talking about Takashi Miike, but she clarified that she was talking about ''Gundam'' and Barbatos swordplay. They eventually agreed to watch Miike's ''Blade of the Immortal'', since Shinobu likes the original. During the final battle with FU, Shinobu provided support, weakening him in order for Travis to break FU's neck. After FU was hit into the air by Bad Girl, Shinobu decapitated him, causing his head to revert back into his child form. FU boarded a ship to escape, but was killed by [[Damon Riccitiello]].

Shinobu appeared alongside the others at Badman's funeral, which was interrupted by the arrival of King [[Jess Baptiste V]], who was quickly dispatched by [[Hunter Touchdown]] and [[Jeane Touchdown]], who arrived from the future. In the first two games, Henry speaks with an Irish accent. In ''No More Heroes III'', Henry wears a combination of the two outfits, and wears a trenchcoat again. However his physical appearance changes drastically, now having spiked slicked-back hair and a face tattoo. He notably no longer speaks with an Irish accent, instead sounding American.

Henry is a cool and confident foil for Travis. He appears under mysterious circumstances, hoping to have a duel with Travis and reveal to him that they are brothers. He seems to view Travis as a disgrace. In ''No More Heroes 2'', he's grateful to Travis for rescuing him, but doesn't want to show it, and instead returns the favor by killing more of Travis's opponents. They were taken by adults and tied up, and Henry's memories were erased, replacing them with those of a child born to the Cooldown family. After this, Henry was raised in Ireland, and in his college years got married to [[Sylvia Christel]]. However due to his lack of income she would frequently disappear. At some point he became aware of the fact that Travis was his brother.

Travis meets him as a shadowy figure in the Senton Splash Tunnel, who flees when he comes close. A short time later, just as Letz Shake was about to fire his Disaster Blaster attack, Henry plunged from above, slicing through his [[Earthquake Maker]] weapon and bisecting Letz Shake, killing him. After watching the Marvel film ''Thor'', Henry realized that like Thor, he also had a bad little brother that needed straightening out. He underwent a personality change, and became the leader of a cult known as the [[Order of the Emerald Knight]]. By following [[Shinobu Jacobs]], Henry eventually tracked down Travis, who was living in seclusion in the Texas wilderness. He appears in ''[[Travis Strikes Back]]'' in [[7: On the Eve of War|#7: On the Eve of War]], where he arrives at Travis's trailer with his knights, taunting him and explaining his change in attitude. As a result, Charlotte's killer instincts awakened and she began working as a ranked assassin named Bad Girl. Bad Girl began participating in ranked matches which were filmed and distributed over the black market. Videos of her fights were sent by Greco to her father, the first of which was a battle against an assassin named [[Bogart]]. Bad Girl ascended the ranks until becoming the second-ranked assassin in the [[United Assassins Association]].

Bad Girl first appears in the basement of [[Destroy Stadium]] for her ranked fight with [[Travis Touchdown]]. Travis walked in on her clubbing gimp suit-wearing men as target practice. She scoffed at Travis for looking down at her, saying her killing is just part of the daily grind. She started their fight, attacking Travis with her baseball bat, using the gimp men as projectiles against him. Partway through the battle, she coated her bat in alcohol, and lit it on fire. At times she would also pretend to cry in an attempt to launch a sneak attack on Travis. At the end of the fight, she was impaled by Travis's beam katana, after which she knocked him to the ground and began beating him until he gave up. Bad Girl celebrated her victory as she succumbed to her wounds and died.

Having seen the video of Bad Girl's death, her father, now going by Badman, swore revenge against Travis. He tracked him down to his trailer in the Texas wilderness, and attempted to kill him, but both were sucked into the video-game world by Travis's [[Death Drive Mark II]] console. Based on an urban legend that clearing all six [[Death Balls]] would grant the player one wish, Travis and Badman agreed to use this to resurrect Bad Girl. After finishing each game, Charlotte was revived, but due to one of the Death Balls being an incomplete version, she was instead returned in the form of a dog, known as Bad Dog. As a dog she seems to recognize her father, and remains at Travis's trailer. Later, Travis obtained the completed ''[[Killer Marathon]]'' Death Ball, allowing Bad Girl to be properly restored to human form. After meeting her father again, the two realized that they had become different people, and agreed to live separate lives.

By 2021, Bad Girl began living at the [[Motel NO MORE HEROES]], alongside Travis and [[Shinobu]]. She witnesses the alien invasion of Earth led by [[FU]], exiting the motel to fight the aliens outside. Later, FU took revenge by attacking the motel, injuring Travis and Shinobu, and killing Badman. Bad Girl arrived at the motel, finding her father's dead body. Travis later found Charlotte distressed in one of the motel rooms, mourning her father. Throughout the game, Travis visits her multiple times, giving her anime and movie recommendations. Eventually Bad Girl recovered, joining Travis and [[Buzariashvili Bishop]] to discuss [[Takashi Miike]] movies. She said she didn't know Miike, but likes anime. They then agree to watch ''Layzner'' together. After Travis's death and resurrection, Bad Girl joined him and his allies to prepare for the battle with FU. She told Travis not to worry about her, since her father took on FU by choice. During the final battle, Bad Girl provided back-up. After Travis broke FU's neck, Bad Girl hit him with her bat, sending him flying through the air. He was then decapitated by Shinobu and returned to his child form. After fleeing on his spaceship, he was betrayed and killed by [[Damon Riccitiello]].

Bad Girl and the others appear at the end of the game, attending Badman's funeral. She told her father that he always looked cool hitting home runs, and reminisced about him buying her ice cream. She spread his ashes in the ocean, saying goodbye to her own "No More Hero". The funeral was interrupted by the arrival of King [[Jess Baptiste V]], who was quickly dispatched by [[Jeane Touchdown]] and [[Hunter Touchdown]], who arrived from the future. The cheerleaders would challenge [[Travis Touchdown]] alongside Charlie. When he lifts his football up, all of the cheerleaders start to form the [[Santa Death Parade]], a giant mecha that they all pilot and battle against Travis' own mecha, the [[Glastonbury]]. After Glastonbury damaged the Santa Death Parade's power system, the robot was left defenseless as Travis launched it into space and blew it up with Glastonbury's cannon.

He would walk down the stairs to face Travis while complimenting him, seeing it as an honor to fight Travis. When Travis asked if he'd be fighting with all 24 of his cheerleaders, Charlie would confirm it before lifting up his football, causing a transformation sequence where he and his cheerleaders would form the [[Santa Death Parade]], a giant mecha that would fight Travis' mecha, the [[Glastonbury]].
